Special Events for the 'Hour of Code'
Storytelling with Scratch Jr.
Monday December 5th, 2016 from 3:00 - 5:30 PM
For students in grades K-3 only
Coding is the new literacy! With Scratch Jr, young children (ages 5-7) can program their own interactive stories and games. In the process, they learn to solve problems, design projects, and express themselves creatively on the computer.
For this session, children will use the Scratch Jr. programming app to make a program in which a kitten and a dog "meet" each other and exchange hellos. This tutorial will enhance children's math, reasoning, coordination, and storytelling skills
