Coding doesn’t have to live on a computer, tablet or phone: it can be used to make robots move, react, and dance! Learn how to use Scratch or Tynker, fun and accessible coding languages that are as easy as a snap-together puzzle, to program Sphero and Finch robots. You will have the opportunity to program these robots to navigate a series of challenges involving the dark, paint, water, and other fun materials.
If your artistic side is calling, come and design a video game of your own, no coding required! We’ll show you how to use Bloxels, a set of small colored blocks that can be turned into a game with characters you control, enemies you vanquish, and treasure you collect, all with the snap of an iPad camera.

Students from grades SMILE through grade 8 are welcome to attend.
Come and check out the Sphero robots that live at the Winter Hill Library. You will have the opportunity to program these robots through a series of challenges involving the dark, paint, water, and other fun materials. See how much you can do with one little robot!
